Shah Jee's opens fourth location on Wells Street in Downtown Milwaukee

Shah Jee's has officially opened its doors at 228 W. Wells St. in Downtown Milwaukee.

The new location marks the final opening in the popular Pakistani restaurant's ambitious three-location expansion, which includes an East Side location at 3116 N Downer Ave. and a South Side restaurant at 3933 S.76th St. Both locations opened in August 2018.

Shah Jee's was founded in 1995 by Azhar Shah, whose goal was to offer customers scratch-made Pakistani fare at an affordable price. The original location at 770 N. Jefferson St., remains open, offering a daily menu of dishes for the Downtown lunch crowd.

Similarly, the Wells Street location offers a lunch menu of standards including daal masoor (spiced red lentils), chana masala (garbanzo beans cooked with tomatoes and onions), aalu palak (spinach and potatoes), saag paneer and chicken masala. Pricing generally falls between $7 and $9.

Shah Jee's on Wells is open for lunch on weekdays only. Hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
