'Tis the season to eat kringle...

New O&H Bakery holiday kringle unveiled today

Kringle fans rejoice! The new holiday flavor debut arrives today from O&H Danish Bakery. And at the same time, last year's gem – egg nog kringle – is back, too.

Who could ask for anything more? (Especially considering the chocolate hazelnut kringle arrived recently, too!)

This year's debut is Santa's Secret Christmas Kringle, which is a red velvet cake recipe (that's the secret), with a jolt of vanilla pudding and topped with creamy frosting and Christmas sprinkles.

It's sweet, it's substantial and it delivers nicely on the vanilla flavor.

And it almost looks like a holiday decoration."Traditions are at the core of our family and business. We wanted to create a Kringle that embodied the spirit, joy and tradition of Santa for families around the world," said Eric Olesen, third generation co-owner of the bakery, which celebrated its 70th anniversary earlier this year.

"Our hope is that our holiday lineup will make you want to celebrate the season with family and friends over delicious treats."

O&H is making as many as 7,000 kringles a day during the holiday season.

In addition to the new kringle and last year's egg nog recipe, it's also baking the Christmas Kringle, layered with chocolate cake filling, red velvet cake crumbles, a dose of peppermint and creamy frosting, as well as A Very Danish Christmas Kringle, which is inspired by the traditions Risalamande Scandinavian dessert.

If you want to share the love, O&H has been shipped to more than 100 countries on all seven continents. Visit the website for details on flavors, gift box options, mail order and shipping.
