But you can begin the celebration early with a very special Paczki Preview Party hosted by the Wisconsin Bakers Association at the Polish Center of Wisconsin, 6941 S. 68th St., in Franklin.
The festivities take place on Sunday, Feb. 9 with tasting times for Paczki Lovers taking place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 1 to 2:30 p.m.; and 2:30 to 4 p.m.
A special VIP (Very Important Paczki) tasting time is also available from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
All tickets include a Paczki Passport which entitles each guest to samples from each participating paczki vendor. At the end of the sampling, attendees will turn in their passports, casting their vote for best paczki flavor and bakery. Winners will be drawn randomly from the passports. One winner gift certificate valued at 1 dozen paczki will be awarded from each participating vendor.
Participating Wisconsin Baking Association member vendors include:
The Polish Center of Wisconsin will also host a cash bar (21+) featuring coffee and drink specials that pair perfectly with paczki.

Tickets are $15 for Paczki Lovers and $30 for VIP tickets (which include all Paczki Lovers ticket benefits, plus a T-shirt). All tickets include a Paczki Passport, mardi gras beads and a swag bag that includes a ticket for Polish Fest. Tickets are available online.
