On the Burger Trail: 8 carry-out burgers to try this week

Restaurants might be operating differently right now, but there are still plenty of great burgers that you can order for take-out at area restaurants. See the full list of restaurants offering carry-out here.
Here are eight to try this week, including a few unexpected options:
1. Benji's Deli

Benji's Deli is offering carry-out, curbside pick-up and delivery through both DoorDash and Postmates. Call to place an order for carry-out.
Offerings include the Benji Burger which features hand-pattied beef, sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing (along with optional lettuce, tomato and raw or fried onions) with a choice of chips, french fries, slaw or potato salad ($12.59).
2. Bougey's Bar & Grill
16760 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield, (262) 784-4092
Bougey's is offering carry-out and delivery for lunch (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and dinner (4 to 8 p.m.). Offerings include their Mushroom Swiss Burger comprised of a half-pound beef patty, cooked to order, topped with sauteed mushrooms and Swiss cheese and served with chips, a hot pepper and a pickle ($8.50). Upgrade to include onion rings for $1.50 more.

3. Crafty Cow

Crafty Cow offers curbside pick-up or delivery daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Offerings include the True Grit, a Jucy Lucy burger stuffed with white cheddar and topped with (more) white cheddar, bacon, battered onions, jalapenos and barbecue sauce ($12).
4. Fixture Pizza Pub
623 S. 2nd St., (414) 736-8709
Fixture will offer curbside or in-house pickup for carry-out orders as well as free delivery. Offerings include The Burger featuring a prime beef blend patty, bacon, onion compote, gorgonzola, gruyere, and arugula. The burger comes with chips or eggplant fries for $12.

5. Hotel Madrid
600 S. Sixth St., (414) 488-9146
Hotel Madrid will is offering a combined menu featuring items from both HM and sister restaurant MOVIDA for take-out and delivery. Among the items for offer is the Madrid Burger with American cheese, bacon, onions, dill pickles, special sauce and frites ($17).
Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Service-industry workers get a 10% discount when ordering by phone. Orders can also be placed online.
6. Merriment Social
240 E. Pittsburgh Ave., (414) 645-0240
Merriment Social is offering curbside pick-up daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Offerings include their Merriment Burger featuring American cheese, applewood bacon, house pickles and social sauce on a housemade milk bun ($16).

7. O'Lydia's Bar & Grill

O'Lydia's is offering their entire menu for carry-out during normal business hours, including their California Burger featuring a half-pound Angus beef burger topped with avocado, pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomatoes on a toasted buttertop bun ($12).
Growlers of beer are also available. Call the restaurant to order.
8. Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar

If you're looking for a burger deal, Stubby's is offering their smash burger with American cheese, chopped onions and pickles on a Sheboygan hard roll for just $5 on Wednesdays from 4 to 8 p.m. It's a variation on the double diner smash burger I reviewed last year, so likely pretty delicious.
Orders can be placed online. Pair your burger up with a growler of beer (53 tap choices are available).
