Oakland Trattoria is simply getting a new sign.

Oakland Trattoria: closed or not closed?

By the looks of Oakland Trattoria, 2856 N. Oakland Ave., you might think that it's closing.

But fear not. According to a hostess at the East Side Italian restaurant, the business is open every day at 11 a.m. and it is simply receiving a new sign.

So don't let the sign-free facade get between you and a wood-fired pizza. Bon appetit!

Unless this article has been updated from its original content, I do not see the dreaded word "signage" mentioned.

to be fair smoove, i got your point after i posted, but at the same time "signage" really isn't all that corporate. i also think writing would be dull if words didn't have variations for writers to draw from. if you want every article to read as if written by an AP robot, i guess that's your business. i do, however, look forward to your newest tome (or should i simply say "book"?) "The Stylebook Is My Bible" by Smoove D.

sandstorm: I never said "signage" isn't a word. It's most certainly a word. It's just a horrible word. It's corporate-speak at its worst.
