Carson's to open in The Moderne this week

Chicago-based steak and ribs restaurant, Carson's, 301 W. Juneau Ave., will open on Friday on the first floor of The Moderne, 1141 N. Old World Third St.

The restaurant will start with dinner / late night service and add lunch on July 8.

The menu features steak, ribs, roast chicken and seafood. There will also be a la carte vegetable options.

The future lunch and late-night menu will include salads and sandwiches for $8.95 and entrees at no more than $11.95.

Carson's will be open for dinner from 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday to Thursday and 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, with the late-night menu kicking in at 10 p.m. daily.

Once lunch service starts, Carson's will open at 11:30 a.m. daily.

There are two other Carson's restaurants in the Chicago area. One on North Wells Street and one in Deerfield, Ill.
