It's time to show your support: Lucky Liu's has reopened for take-out

It's a beautiful sunny day. And it's just a little bit brighter because Lucky Liu's, 1664 N. Van Buren St., has reopened its doors for takeout.

The restaurant has implemented an easy-to-use online ordering system, which allows contactless payment for take-out orders. Options include lunch and dinner combos along with an extensive menu of Chinese dishes, house specialties and a selection of sushi, nigiri and sashimi.

The reopening is a particular milestone for the popular East Side restaurant, which chose to close on March 21 due to a series of racially motivated remarks that called the safety of staff into question.

Please consider showing your support by placing an order for take-out in the coming days. All restaurants – but particularly Asian restaurants, which have continued to bear the brunt of xenophobic responses during COVID-19 – need us all to step up during these tough times.

Let's move forward and be better, Milwaukee. Our city depends upon it.

Lucky Liu's is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:45 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 9:45 p.m.
