Indoor Friendly Establishments

Enjoy art on the walls, sports on the tube, a billiard table and a colorful aesthetic with your pooch at this popular Riverwest Bar where coffee, alcohol and even art is available for purchase. They have outdoor seating during the summer, but Fido can tag along all year long. Art*Bar has happy hour specials six-days a week and opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon on the weekends.

BYOM! Bring your own meat and grill out on at The Backyard with Fido. One of their claims to fame is the free-to-use grills available in the patio out back. Winter or summer, though, you and your pooch can enjoy this Bay View bar starting at 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon on the weekends.

This may be THE pub to go to in Milwaukee if you are looking to catch a football match – and not the American kind. Soccer games run all day at this pub, but, thankfully, the beer is still served cold. Pop in with the pooch the next time your team is playing. Opens at 1 p.m. on weekdays, 6 a.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. on Sunday.
The Iron Horse Hotel

The Iron Horse Hotel plays host to two restaurants and two bars, and the dog-friendly details are specific. Dogs are allowed in the lobby of the hotel – and servers will bring you food and drink there – but are not allowed in the indoor bar or restaurants. However, there is an outdoor bar, The Yard, that has a patio for your pooch to play on while you sip highballs. Opens at 11 a.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The Roman Coin

A solid neighborhood bar with moderately priced drinks and a very pup-friendly attitude. They have a impressive micro brew list, one pool table and plenty of character (as most Brady Street joints do). Enjoy a craft beer with your pups starting at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Urban Bay View

The next time you head out on a sunny stroll with Spot, stop in for a cold beer at this great Third Ward cafe. Opens at 7 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. on weekends.
Black Husky Brewing

The Riverwest brewery opened in 2016, and its namesake comes from owners Tim and Toni's beloved husky, Howler. Each beer label even features a photo of a dog; the Eichingers have owned 23 dogs total. It's safe to say that dogs aren't just welcomed - they're encouraged. Opens at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 12 p.m. on weekends.
Bodegon at Hotel Madrid

For a more upscale outing with Fido, visit Bodgeon at Hotel Madrid. The Walkers Point bar is home to an impressive array of craft cocktails, shareable drinks, and wine. The snacks menu isn't to go unnoticed, either - churros and cheese curds are only a few of the items for humans to enjoy. Opens at 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
Broken Bat Brewing Company

The baseball-themed brewery and taproom is located in a Third Ward basement. Even though dogs aren't allowed inside Miller Park (except Hank, of course), Fido can still experience the fun and excitement of a baseball game while you sip some tasty, baseball-inspired craft beers. Unami Moto??? Sushi and dogs? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
Seeing eye dogs should be the exception. I am tired of all the other "service" dogs allowed in restaurants. I won't frequent these restaurants, as I am allergic to dogs and should be give the same consideration of other patrons.
