What we do for love. And hookah service.

Man gets Casablanca tattoo and receives hookah service for life

Nas Musa, the owner and general manger of Casablanca, 728 E. Brady St., was joking when he told regular customer Smit Patel that he could get $5 hookah service for life if he got the restaurant's logo tattooed on his arm.

A couple days later, Patel proved that he wasn't just blowing smoke (ahem) when he said he'd do it. He showed up at Casablanca with a fresh tattoo of the logo – which was created by Musa's father in 1987 – on his arm.

He received the tattoo from Saints and Sinners, a shop just down the street from Casablanca at 1225 E. Brady St.

"I was shocked," says Musa. "I really didn't think he would do it. But of course I will honor my word."

Hookah service is usually $20 at Casablanca, but for Patel, it is now a quarter of the price.

"I put it on Facebook and now a few others have asked if they can get the same deal," says Musa. "I have to think about that."

On a side note, this is not the first time a Milwaukeean got a local-business logo tattoo. In 2016, after 15 years of service, I got an OnMilwaukee tattoo on my arm. No regrets.
