For the 10th straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, dining guides, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as voting for your "Best of Dining 2016."

Bay View is a serious contender within Milwaukee's food scene. Whether you are looking for an option that is classic or something new and exciting, the Bay View neighborhood has it.

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. Cafe & Pizza

Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co. is a locally-owned, small batch roaster featuring a full menu of coffee and espresso drinks, along with authentic wood fired pizzas. Creatively topped pizzas with bubbling Neapolitan-style crusts are available Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.

Barnacle Bud's

Barnacle Bud's offers patrons fresh seafood and barbecue in a beach-style shack in Bay View. Enjoy their fresh oyster bar, appetizers, sandwiches and such. The menu includes gems such as po' boy and crab cake sandwiches, along with fried fish baskets that are to die for. Weekends can get really interesting with a crab cake Benedict until 2 p.m. and a build your own bloody bar until 4 p.m.

Bumstead Provisions

Newcomer Bumstead Provisions brings menu selections that are playful and sometimes unexpected, offering dishes that bring together both high and low-brow cuisine in a deliciously seamless fashion. You can also shop in the adjacent provisions store after devouring a Philly cheesesteak with lobster. Yes, really.

Cafe Centraal

Cafe Centraal has one of the city's largest beer books and longest bars. This European-styled cafe offers a full menu of burgers, sandwiches and fresh frites (try them with a house-made dipping sauce) to go along with an extensive list of Belgian and Dutch beers.

Cafe Corazón

The new restaurant located in the former Johnny's Club Carnival, has been in the works since April of 2015. Although the new Corazón closely resembles the Bremen St. location, which opened in 2009, it has a significantly larger kitchen, dining area and bar while offering the same delicious food.

Cafe India Bar & Grill

Cafe India Bar & Grill is the second location opened by owner Rakesh Rehen. Serving traditional Indian food, as well as some Indian-American dishes, Bay View's Cafe India has the same menu as the original location at Walker's Point Plaza, with more space to enjoy. Enjoy the outdoor patio and hookah bar (if the weather permits) or sit and eat in the cozy dining area.

C-viche opened at 2165 S. Kinickinnic Ave. in late January, bringing a new Ibero-American concept to both Bay View and Milwaukee on the whole. Enjoy Ibero-American small plates with a Peruvian influence and focus on fresh ceviches, handcrafted pisco cocktails, and international wines.

Classic Slice

Classic Slice is a hip, counter-service pizzeria in Bay View that offers specialty pizzas, calzones and sandwiches. The slices are very large with and various toppings such as Italian sausage, homemade red sauce, arugula, prosciutto and fresh truffle (seasonal). Choose from a variety of craft beers to go along with your cheesy slice of heaven. Build your own pizza or ask about their slice of the day – you won't regret it.

Club Garibaldi

A remnant of Bay View's northern Italian community, the first such enclave in the city, Club Garibaldi – named for the great Italian patriot – is also a reminder of the many mutual aid societies that Italian-American communities founded throughout America. Get the wings, you won't regret it.

Dom & Phil De Marini's Pizza

DeMarini's bring the people of Bay View a reliable and comfortable family-owned and operated restaurant. The menu features a renowned original recipe pizza, authentic Italian specialties, fresh made pastas, and a traditional Friday fish fry. Take in a beautiful view of Milwaukee's skyline from the dining room or lounge.

Goodkind is a restaurant and corner tavern that offers old-world dining and strive for a symbiotic relationship between the kitchen and bar, specializing in rotisserie meats, local produce and house-made cocktails. You'll find things like fresh pappardelle pasta, lavender-anchovy rubbed leg of lamb and a beef brisket tartar on their inspiring menu. Goodkind also offers an intriguing Sunday brunch menu, complete with hilariously-named house cocktails.

G. Groppi Food Market

Louie's Coop, the bar in G. Groppi Food Market, is a stellar example of a grocery store / bar hybrid. The lighting is low, the vibe is friendly and the bar is off to the side, away from the shopping bustle. Get panini, snacks and more.

Guanajuato Mexican Restaurant

Satisfy your craving with Guanajuato's high-quality, hand-crafted Mexican food. This family-owned restaurant has been serving the Bay View neighborhood since 2007, and they don't plan on stopping any time soon. Try the classic huevos rancheros, mole con pollo, carne asada ... the list goes on.

Gypsy Taco

Pop over to Boone & Crockett after 4 p.m. (any night except Monday), and you can indulge in a well-prepared but (un)apologetically (un)authentic taco. That's because the taco-slinging food truck Gypsy Taco is on the gorgeous Boone patio. And that's kind of a big deal, in part because it's the only food truck in the entire state of Wisconsin that has regular, legal occupancy on a bar property. Go for the tacos, stay for the drinks.

Gyros Stand

Honeypie Cafe

Since 2009, Honeypie has described its food as Midwestern-food from scratch. It offers a main menu consisting of sandwiches, salads and a few simple, yet delicious, entrees. Hue Vietnamese Restaurant

Little DeMarinis continues Mama DeMarini's six-decades old tradition of pizza in Bay View (the original restaurant closed a few years ago and now houses Goodkind). This family-owned pizzeria uses a secret recipe that patrons have loved since the beginning. In addition to gourmet pizzas, the menu includes tasty sandwiches, pasta dinners and appetizers. Head over to Little DeMarini's for traditional Italian-American pizza.

Lulu Cafe

Odd Duck Restaurant

Three Brothers
