April 2 (that's today) just happens to be National Burrito Day.
So we've rounded up 12 great burritos from area restaurants across the city for you to enjoy. Some have been around for a long time, others are newer to the scene. But all of them are locally-owned spots that could use your support.
So whether you choose to order a burrito from one of these restaurants (or another of your favorites), know that your order is making a difference for someone else.

At Botanas, you can order their Super Burrito with beans, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes plus your choice of chicken, beef, chunky beef or ground beef. That comes with sour cream and guacamole for $11.95.

2. Blue's Egg Shorewood

At Blue's you can order up their "One Burrito for Mankind," a delicious veggie-focused mash-up of tofu scramble, avocado smash, black beans, arugula, onion, roasted tomatoes and pseudo sauce. It's served with hand-cut fries for $11
Blue's Egg Shorewood is offering carry-out. They will offer dinner Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m.; pre-orders can be called in beginning at 2 p.m. Brunch is available for pick-up Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; pre-orders can be called in beginning at 8 a.m. Menus are available online. At Brunch, you can indulge in their hangover burrito which is filled with honey bacon, French toast bites, scrambled eggs, maple syrup, Sriracha and comes with a side of waffle fries ($12).
Brunch offers carry-out, curbside pick-up and delivery through DoorDash during regular business hours.
4. Cafe Corazon

You can't go wrong with the wet burrito, which starts with Corazón's signature burrito (with a choice of meat or beans) smothered in red enchilada sauce, melted Cheddar Jack cheese, and lime cilantro crema.

5. Chilango Express

The element of choice is key at Chilango Express where you can build your own burrito with a variety of meat and vegetable toppings. Even better, a burrito plate (with rice and beans) will only set you back by $10.
Chilango Express is offering curbside pick-up during regular operational hours. Delivery is also available through DoorDash.

Guanajuato offers a variety of burrito styles including wet burritos topped with verde, ranchero or spicy red sauce. Meat-based fillings include chicken, steak, pork, ground beef or shredded beef. View the full burrito menu here.

7. Jalapeno Loco

At Jalapeno Loco, you can order up their burrito dinner for $12.95. Burrito comes filled with your choice of ground beef, chunky beef, pork, or shredded chicken in salsa. Served with rice and beans.

8. Lazo's Taco Shack

At Lazo's, you can get a hefty burrito filled with your choice of meats (al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, chicken, ground beef or tinga), plus lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and tomato served alongside Mexican rice and beans for $11.95.
Lazo's is offering carry-out and curbside pick-up of their menu Monday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Their menu is on Facebook. They are also offering delivery through Uber Eats and Eat Street. Call the restaurant directly for pick-up orders.
9. Los Paisa Restaurant & Bar

Order their signature burrito featuring beans and your choice of steak, chicken, beef, chile verde or carnitas rolled in a flour tortilla and smothered with ranchero sauce and melted cheese. It comes with sour cream, tomato and guacamole for $11.
Los Paisa is open for carry-out orders Thursday through Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. Call the restaurant to place your order. You can also keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
10. Mara's Grill

At Mara's, there are numerous choices, but their Mexican burrito filled with tender shredded chicken, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and cheese is a good bet anytime.

11. Pineapple Cafe & Mexican Grill

At Pineapple Cafe, you can pick up burritos filled with your choice of ground beef, barbacoa, chicken, pork, vegetable, or carnitas, plus rice, beans (black, pinto or refried), lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream and guacamole. That's topped with your choice of salsa (verde, roja, suiza or mole), $11.50 (add $1 for steak)

12. Taco Amigo

At Taco Amigo, their most popular El Grande burrito is stuffed with your choice of meat (al pastor, grilled chicken, shredded beef, ground beef or steak) and bathed in your choice of sauce (jalapeno-crema, guajillo, verde or mole), plus melted cheese. It's served with rice, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce and tomato ($14).
Taco Amigo offers carry-out, curbside pick-up Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Delivery is also available through DoorDash, Grub Hub and Uber Eats.
