Brady Street Festival is canceled due to COVID-19
More bad news today from the world of Milwaukee summer festivals: Brady Street Festival is canceled for 2020 due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The festival was originally scheduled this year for Friday, July 25.
"The Brady St. BID Board of Directors has voted to cancel the 2020 Brady Street Festival in an effort to further contain the spread of COVID-19," writes the Brady Street BID in a statement posted to the organization's Facebook page. "This decision was made after many discussions and a review of options. However, to maintain the integrity of this beloved festival it is best if we focus our efforts on doing other events, hopefully later this year. Thank you for your support."
Brady Street Festival joins the Wisconsin State Fair, Summerfest, Tour of America's Dairyland, the Air & Water Show and four additional Wisconsin state fairs as summer festivals and events canceled in just the last seven days. But hey, bars and restaurants will be (25%) back open, so that's something.
