Description [edit]
Frank's is another one of those Bay View bars that reminds you why East Siders are moving south.

Low-key and unpretentious, with a slightly biker-bar feel, Frank's serves up cheap, cold Blatz and PBR, but also Guinness on tap.

I've been coming to this bar with my girlies for years and we could always get a groovy drink. Lately, (Oops, EVERYTIME) I've been there they've been outta Pabst, Guinness, Jack Daniels, Miller Lite (on tap), rail vodka, Rolling Rock, Effen Black Cherry, red bull (on tap), Cranberry Juice, and Tonic. HOW IS A BAR OUTTA CRANBERRY JUICE AND TONIC!!! When I asked a bartender to tap the Guinness, he told me that the bartenders were not allowed to tap the beer. What!?! They can use a register but can't tap beer. Is there something to this tapping of beer that your average person can't do? We used to go there a couple of times a week because we could get drinks like an espresso martini (they no longer carry espresso vodka), chocolate cake shots - yummy (they no longer carry Frangelico), mango mojitos (they no longer carry the mango rum) and I can go on....Just be careful when you go there and you see an advertisement for something tasty, most likely Frank's doesn't carry it, or it was a promo bottle and when it's gone, it's gone. Somebody outta smack Frank in the head and tell him to wake up. With places like Lulu's and Burnhearts so close why would someone WANT to stay at Frank's (which personally has always been a little dirty but had personality, good drinks and great bartenders - now, all of that is questionable!) I would save yer' money and go to Burnhearts or Lulu's and get the drink you really want - or if you like few choices, go to Frank's - they only have 7 bottles to choose from!
