Good City wants your help making a virtual thank you card for ICU workers

The coronavirus pandemic has changed our everyday life, but it doesn't need to change who we are. So, in addition to our ongoing coverage of the coronavirus, OnMilwaukee will continue to report on cool, fun, inspiring and strange stories from our city and beyond. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay informed and stay joyful. We're all in this together. #InThisTogetherMKE

Lots of local businesses have been teaming up with area restaurants to deliver lunches to workers on the front line fighting the coronavirus pandemic and this Saturday, Milwaukee's Good City Brewing will join in, too.

The brewery and restaurant, launched on Farwell Avenue on the East Side, plans to deliver donated lunches to Columbia St Mary's ICU team, a few blocks away.

Good City employees will also deliver a virtual card via a Seek the Good video, thanking the ICU team for all the good it does in helping ailing Milwaukeans, and they want your help.

Write your own thank you card to healthcare workers, take a picture of the card and upload it to the Facebook event page or email it to christine@goodcitybrewing.com. If you prefer, you can record a video clip no more than 10 seconds long thanking CSM's ICU team. Email those to the same address.

Virtual cards must be received by noon on Friday, April 24 to be included in the video for Saturday.

"We'd love to include as many messages as possible," says Good City co-founder David Dupee.
