Enlightened Brewing Co. expands reach with General Beverage partnership
Soon there will be even more Enlightened Brewing Co. beer on the market across Southeastern Wisconsin.
Enlightened Brewing Co., 2020 S. Allis St., announced today that it has established a wholesale distribution partnership with General Beverage Sales Co.
The agreement follows on the heels of the relocation and expansion of the brewery to a new 14,000-square foot facility in the historic Louis Allis Motors Building in Bay View. As a result of the move, the once-nano-brewery has expanded its annual production capacity from approximately 250 barrels per year to 3,000 barrels, with room to grow further.
"We're really excited about expanding our production, adding cans to our lineup, and finding an awesome forever home at the Louis Allis building," notes co-owner Tommy Vandervort. "We're also super humbled by the support we've received over the years and grateful for every pint of our beer that's been consumed. We've worked really hard, had a lot of fun so far, and we're looking forward to introducing our beer to the rest of Southeastern Wisconsin!
"General Beverage has been in the game for a long time, carries many really great brands, and has great relationships with retailers. We're really confident that they're going to skillfully help us introduce our beer to a wider audience. My back and our 1993 Dodge Truck are already thanking them."
According to a release from the brewery, the agreement with General Beverage expands Enlightened's offerings (including six-packs of cans and kegs for use on draft) in Milwaukee and to the six surrounding counties of Waukesha, Racine, Kenosha, Ozaukee, Washington and Walworth.
Enlightened has also expressed the desire to get more creative with one-offs brews, barrel aged beers, and hoppy offerings created on its 3.5-barrel pilot system at the Lincoln Warehouse.
