New Drink Design Collective plans to launch new climate neutral hard seltzer

The new Drink Design Collective partnership between Milwaukee Brewing Company and Sup! Organic Hard Seltzer not only weds these two existing beverage brands, it also means a new product is on the horizon, too.

In addition to producing the first organic seltzer and MKE Brewing's broad line of craft beers at the 10th Street Brewery in the Brewery District, DDC will also launch Tierra Buena Hard Seltzer, which it calls, "industry's first-ever climate neutral certified product."

Tierra Buena Hard Seltzer, which is expected to start in pilot markets in Wisconsin, Boston, New York and Chicago, in spring will use Latin American reforestation projects to offset 100 percent of its carbon footprint.

Tierra Buena -- which means Good Land in Spanish, get it? -- will come in four flavors: Spiced Mango, Mixed Berry, Agave Lime and Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade and will include Vitamin C and antioxidants.

MKE Brewing Company's David Hock will be president and CEO, while Sup! Organic's Chase Brooks will be named founder and chief innovation officer of DDC, which will be headquartered in Milwaukee.

"Rapid innovation is central to our vision, and this facility provides the perfect environment to quickly dial in future product lines," said Brooks, of the 10th Street Brewery.

DDC is currently seeking distilling and winemaking licensing, to "(enable) the ability to develop products across total alcoholic beverage."
