Deer District beer garden reopens this week with a new food truck

The Deer District beer garden across the plaza from the Fiserv Forum reopens on Thursday and has a new new food truck on site, too.

The covered garden at 1133 N. Old World 3rd St. has a ginormous TV, an onsite bar with a great selection of craft beer and easy access to the other nightlife on 3rd Street and in the Deer District.

Plus, this year, there's the MKEat Food Truck, too serving hearty fare curated by the Fiserv Forum chefs.

Find items like bacon elote with corn, chili-lime mayo, parmesan, bacon and cilantro; street fries with jalapenos, barbecued pork, cilantro, cotija, salsa verde and radish; bourbon glazed asian pork ribs; an all-beef footlong dog with cheddar sauce, white cheddar curds, pickled jalapenos and crumbled bacon; a cheddar burger with pickled red onions and arugula on a buttered sesame bun; and more.

The garden's new hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 4-10 p.m., Saturdays, 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Sundays from 11 until 6.
