In Bars & Clubs

Indeed, City Lounge's Harry Potter-inspired pop-up has opened - be there.

WATCH: We shine a Lumos spell on City Lounge's Harry Potter-inspired pop-up

If you solemnly swear you're up to no good these next few weeks, there's no better place knock back some "Butterbrews" than City Lounge, as the Cudahy hangout has brought back its popular Harry Potter-inspired "World of Wizards" pop-up bar.

Opened on May 17, the second annual pop-up isn't just a bunch of Harry Potter posters put up on the walls with some of the soundtrack playing over the speakers and cute names for regular drinks. City Lounge goes all out, with homemade decorations of a small bedroom under the stairs, the great school dining hall – complete with dangling candles – a memory pool that sees all and even a giant "Quidpong" field for games and competition.

Have a hard time believing muggles could create such a magical setting? Take a look for yourself as OnMilwaukee dropped by the Cudahy pub, found at 3455 E. Layton Ave., to see the wizarding wonders for ourselves.

The 21-and-over, cover-free pop-up will continue to run daily from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. through Sunday, June 9 – complete with a trivia night on June 4, a fan art gallery show on June 2 and much more. I also highly recommend the "Butterbrew," which is tasty and addictively sweet without becoming cloyingly so like some versions at, say, a large theme park – and, better yet, there's booze in it! Costumes are encouraged, but He Who Should Not Be Named should not go named.

And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for whatever delightful pop culture-themed pop-ups might come next from City Lounge. They've already done "Star Wars"(esque) and "Game of Thrones"(adjacent); what could be next?
