What's in a name? When it comes to bars, a lot.

My Office, 763 N. Milwaukee St., doesn't really fit in with its swankier neighbors, but does just fine as it is, thanks to good service, inexpensive drinks and ... a catchy name.

How many Downtown Milwaukee workers have avoided their spouse's wrath with the innocent response "I was at my office," after stopping for a cold one after a long day of work?

It's that kind of creativity – and built-in excuse – that made My Office you choice for Milwaukee's best bar name, easily edging out the second-place finisher, West Allis' Walk Her Inn Drag Her Out.

As bar names go, My Office is hard to beat, but we here in the OnMilwaukee.com editorial office can't keep a straight face whenever the name Doodle Annie's comes up.
