On the eternal quest to stock up on Buffalo Trace? New app oughta help

Fond du Lac-based Badger Liquor, Wine & Spirits, the state's largest wine and spirits distributor, has launched a new app to help Wisconsin consumers locate any specific wine or spirit among the more than 10,000 bars, restaurants and retail stores to which the company delivers.

Wondering which bar in Beloit pours your favorite bourbon or which wine shop in Waukesha has that special cabernet you love?

The new app can help.

"We realized that people want to know where they can buy their favorite products," says Badger Liquor President Lacey Sadoff. "We knew we had the information and technology to create an app to make answering those questions quick and easy."

Via the app you can either find a product – any wine varietal, any type of liquor, any brand – or a place, including everything available there, top sellers at the place and more, using either a list view or a map view.

"In our industry, this feels cutting edge," says Sadoff. "I'm proud that we created this app and our excitement is three-fold. First, to the people of Wisconsin, by giving them the information they want, second, to promote our suppliers' products, and third, to support our customers' establishments to help them be successful."

As for Buffalo Trace?

"If the (bar, restaurant or store) has purchased it in the last six months, it will show up (on the app)," says Badger Liquor's Anne Siikarla. "It doesn't mean it will be on the shelf or behind the bar, but you will know who gets that small allocation. When allocations come out, the person will know that this bar gets it or this store gets a few bottles and can follow up with the establishment itself."

You can download the Badger Liquor Product Finder App at no cost on iTunes and Google Play.
