In the past week, three friends mentioned they were considering moving to a warmer climate after enduring this winter's wacky weather. I don't think they will actually relocate, but it was the first time I heard them say anything remotely like this, and I started wondering if this winter will inspire some Milwaukeeans to migrate to cities with warmer climates.
I know a few people who moved away years ago to escape months of cold weather, but for the most part I never gave weather enough thought to actually have it inspire a major move.
However, although I still sport the personal tagline "Made in Milwaukee, fade in Milwaukee" (actually I just made up that line, but it's true), I admit this winter walloped my good nature when it comes to snow and cold temperatures. Although I have no plans to trail blaze to the nearest bikini town, I do empathize with anyone who's frustrated enough with Wisco weather to consider alternative locales.
