Description [edit]
Minus the carriage rides and mini lakes, this could very well be Milwaukee's own version of Central Park, and indeed it was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, the man responsible in large part for Manhattan's green field. Lofted up above Lake Michigan, Lake Park offers 140 acres for contemplative soul searching, romantic strolls, or competitive fun and games including a nine-hole golf course, baseball diamonds and lawn bowling. Bartolotta's Lake Park Bistro serves fine food in the old park pavilion with lake views.
