SWRPC sees increased scrutiny, federal complaints
The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission is getting closer scrutiny these days. The NAACP and the ACLU filed a complaint with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance of the U.S. Department of Labor. According to the ACLU, the complaint came about after SEWRPC said it would not do an outside search for a new director and assistant director.

Madison lets the sun shine in
Here's an idea that could lower Milwaukee heating and electric bills. The City of Madison kicked off a program to double that city's use of solar energy by 2010. It even has a catchy name -- MadiSUN.

Health care battle keeps hospital lobbyists busy
The Wisconsin Ethics Board reports that the WHA spent $434,240 working 2,647 hours on its issues, placing it ahead of second-place Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce.
