Bayou: Straight talk on the Humboldt Bridge and dining in Milwaukee
If you've seen the dismantled Humboldt Bridge you know that it can't be easy to operate a business in this East Side neighborhood. While alternative routes are available, the construction has been a major challenge asked Bayou for an update.

Scouting report: The Anchorage
A recent scouting visit to The Anchorage, 4700 N. Port Washington Rd., proved once again that in Milwaukee, not all hotel restaurants are created equal. Though the restaurant is housed within a Hilton Hotel, don't expect standard hotel restaurant fare here.

This river wall needs a paint job
The Milwaukee River wall directly under the Chase Bank Building bothers me. It's ugly, an eye sore and in dire need of, at the very least, a paint job.

Ever since the North Avenue dam was torn down in 1998, the city has battled with Mother Nature and the forces of water to keep the river in check. The river is winning.
