The Nelsonics try a new twist: words
After The Nelsonics' all-instrumental self-titled debut -- recently reissued by Portland, Ore.-based Hammond Beat -- drummer and group namesake Don Nelson says band members wanted to mix things up a bit. Eight of the 12 songs on the new CD, "Ruins of Rome," feature vocals.

Schwartz Bookshop starts new chapter in Bay View
Harry W. Schwartz Bookshops signed a lease on Thursday to open a new bookstore at the intersection of Kinnickinnic, Lincoln and Howell Avenues. It will open July 15, on the birthday of former owner, the late A. David Schwartz.
