Green Bay Replay: Packers 21, Bears 15
The giddiness that permeated the Packers' preseason gave way to the bruising reality of the regular season. Fortunately for coach Mike McCarthy and a sellout crowd of 70,920, quarterback Aaron Rodgers hooked up with wide receiver Greg Jennings for a touchdown with 1 minute, 11 seconds left that erased a handful of mistakes and left the home team feeling good about its prospects for 2009.

Green Bay Replay: Bears 20, Packers 17 (OT)
It was hard to believe that the Bears were the team fighting for their playoff lives and the Packers had already been eliminated from the postseason hunt. Green Bay dominated its bitter rival for most of the game, but once again -- thanks to lackluster special-teams play -- was left scratching its head after another victory slipped away.

Things to watch on "Monday Night Football"
The Packers play Chicago tonight in a nationally televised "Monday Night Football" matchup. Outside of the built-in fan bases of both teams, the game at Soldier Field is guaranteed to attract huge ratings amongst degenerate gamblers, desperate fantasy football owners, Tony Kornheiser lovers and haters, Hawaii residents fascinated by frigid weather and one other specialized demographic: Vikings fans. That's right, Minnesota must cheer for Green Bay.

Packers prepare to face the Bears and the elements
The folks who scheduled the Green Bay-Chicago matchup for "Monday Night Football" in late December knew it would be numbingly cold. Weather.com is forecasting a kickoff temperature between 7 and 12 degrees, with 16-mile per hour westerly winds creating a wind chill of -6 to -12. For last year's game on Dec. 23, the kickoff temperature was 16 degrees, and the wind chill was -2, with wind gusts of 40 miles per hour.

Green Bay Replay: Packers 37, Bears 3
Things couldn't have gone much better for the Packers Sunday afternoon at Lambeau Field. While they were absolutely annihilating rival Chicago by a historic 37-3 margin, the Vikings dropped a close game at Tampa Bay, thus creating a three-way tie for first place in the NFC North.

In appreciation of the "Anti Shirt"
There's one type of shirt that's even better than the ironic T-shirt, and for lack of an official name, I'll call it the "Anti Shirt." Or maybe for short, just the Ø Shirt.

For about 40 minutes Sunday night, the Packers had the look of a championship-caliber team. That's what made the implosion that followed so stunning.

My fingers are still thawing out at my keyboard, so it's taking me longer to write this than it should. But after a frigid, Super Bowl weekend, here are some of the ideas swirling in my pre-caffeinated brain.
