When I noticed on Tuesday that Langhorne Slim was making a somewhat under-the-radar appearance at The Rave Bar last night, I knew the amount of fun and entertainment this 25-year-old New Yorker could provide would more than outweigh the $10 bucks I’d pay to get in.

While conducting inspections of the Ambassador Hotel, 2308 W. Wisconsin Ave., en route to renovating the classic building, owner Rick Wiegand was astonished at the exquisite details he discovered, which further fueled his desire to restore the landmark built in 1927.
