Addictive "Pressed" heralds Jordan's return
Melodic and poppy but with a satisfying slate of crunchy, jangly and twangy guitars, “Pressed” is an addictive mix of power pop and garage rock with alt.country overtones. It's the work of long-lost Milwaukee music veteran Charles Jordan.

Long-awaited Sparklehorse disc has Wisconsin ties
The fourth Sparklehorse record -- "Dreamt for Lightyears in the Belly of a Mountain -- is nearly upon us. The disc, produced by Mark Linkous (aka Sparklehorse) at his home studio, was engineered by former Milwaukeean Alan Weatherhead. And it was mixed, in part, at Madison's Smart Studios.

Koester's Firefall jones leads to great Maplewood disc
