I headed down to 10th and National last night for “Día de los Muertos” and found Milwaukee's South Side to be very much alive.

McKinney splashes Walker's Point art scene with new "studiomak"
OMC's Craig McKinney opens a new gallery in Walker's Point, "studiomak," on Friday, Oct. 21 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. during Gallery Night. The first show is "Random Thoughts," a collection of paintings by Arvid Petersen.

"Skeletal Reflections" honors the dead with lively performance
Inspired by the "Day of the Dead," a local writer and performance artist created "Skeletal Reflections," a one-hour show featuring performance pieces honoring the dead. The show runs Friday, Oct. 21 at the Walker's Point Center for the Arts.
