Folk Fair performers educate, entertain, bond
Dancers have been a part of Folk Fair since the event started more than 60 years ago. For some, it's a hobby. For others, it's a way to educate or learn about a heritage. And then there are the "lifers" -- the folks that have grown up and built lasting friendships -- and families -- through the Fair, which runs this weekend at State Fair Park's Wisconsin Expo Center.

Plenty of blame to go around for Packers struggles
At 4-4, the Packers are far from out of playoff competition. But at the same time, Green Bay is far from being a legitimate contender. There's plenty of reasons and plenty of blame to go around, but ultimately, the root of the problems can be found on the sideline and inside the big, corner office at 1265 Lombardi Ave.

Hardy traded to Minnesota, Brewers get CF Gomez
As expected, the Brewers traded shortstop J.J. Hardy. Somewhat surprisingly, though, the team didn't bring back pitching for the 2007 National League All-Star, instead getting Carlos Gomez from the Minnesota Twins.

UWM survives exhibition scare from Cardinal Stritch
Fortunately for UWM head coach Rob Jeter and his Panthers, Wednesday's was only an exhibition contest and didn't count in the standings. It didn't count for NAIA Division II Cardinal Stritch either, but the Wolves just missed an opportunity at a big, big upset.

Whether looking to "grab their bags," enjoy "the best care in the air" or just "go, because there's nothing stopping them," Milwaukeeans have a multitude of options thanks to an increase in service and competition -- and major decrease in prices -- for flights in and out of Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport.

Admirals looking for offense
Unlike most American Hockey League teams, the Milwaukee Admirals return a sizable amount of last year's roster. But a majority of the returning players, who won the West Division championship last year, are playing with Milwaukee's own zone, leaving third-year head coach Lane Lambert looking for firepower as the Admirals open the home portion of their 2009-10 schedule tonight.
