A lot of times celebrities will refer to their make-up artists as their closest friends--they're not only there for the stars at those rough 6am wake up calls but prove to be confidants and advisors.

Celebrity make up artist Paul Starr, who has worked with Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba and Renee Zellweger, was found dead after neighbors alerted the authorities.

The cause of death is unknown at this time, according to WENN.

Starr, 48, had worked in the make-up industry for over two decades and won praise from Hollywood's elite.

Garner wrote in Starr's 2005 book, Paul Starr on Beauty: Conversations with Thirty Celebrated Women: ""Paul Starr has this uncanny ability to look at a face and see what it needs. He's done my face a thousand times and never repeated a look. I have never felt more like the best version of myself than when Paul has made me up.""
