This was my third visit to Mequon's relatively new Calderone Club at Mequon and Wawautosa Roads. My wife and I joined another couple for dinner Saturday night. We had reservations at 6:00PM and were promptly seated when we arrived. We had a nice meal and finished a little after 7:00. We had just signed the check and were engaged in conversation when we were approached by the owner or manager - I'm not sure which. Incredibly, he asked us to leave stating that the table were were sitting at as reserved for a 7:00 party.  It was 7:10. I don't now why our particular table was the one needed by the 7:00 party. Nor do I understand why we were asked to relinquish our table when the three tables around us were still occupied by parties who were there before we arrived (and of course after we left). I've eaten in restaurants all over the world and this is the first time I've been asked to relinquish a table. It would be well for the Calderone Club's management to learn a lesson from the founder of Starbucks who understands that they are not in the coffee business serving people but rather in the people business serving coffee. Neither we nor our friends will return - there are lots of other good Italian restaurants in the area that appreciate each and every customer.
