I Have the Same Luck as You, Charlie Brown...

Since moving to the area, I have been fascinated with the Ice Skating Rink in Red Arrow Park. I haven't ice skated really since I was a kid on my Grandma's lake. Well, I did go skating at the Pettit Ice Center once in High School, and I have rollerbladed rather recently... and you would think nothing could beat rollerblading with Corey Feldman, not that I have, but I'm just saying you would think nothing could beat that. Anyways, there seems to be something that intrigues me about ice skating in a small park in the center of the city. I believe it's the chance to make a fool of myself in front of a crowd... something I've become good at as well as familiar with in my lifetime.
I started thinking that it would be a wonderful time to try skating there. But just skating there wouldn't cut it at all. Where's the fun in that, right?
I think the best way to go skating there would be to first put on one of those yellow shirts with the black zig-zag stripe just like Charlie Brown wears. Also, I'd have on some brown shorts that go all the way to the middle of my calves and I'd also wear a scarf. It doesn't matter what kind of scarf. I would also wear a top hat and grow out a killer mustache just like the one The Butcher had in Gangs of New York. That's a rockin' stache my friends! The final touch would be for the stereo system to play that meloncholy Charlie Brown music (I believe it's the "Christmastime Is Here song" that was used in an episode of Arrested Development so brilliantly) at the park.
I would then be able to skate around all alone on the rink and would often twirl at my mustache as onlookers view me in all my glory. People would be impressed. So impressed that I'm sure there would be all kinds of blogs written about it. I think Corey Feldman would write one about me too. He would compare my tricks to those seen in the movie Airborne which is probably one of Jack Black's finest pieces of work.
But they had shut down the rink due to warm weather, reopened it, and will probably close it again since it is warm and rainy. So this dream may never happen. But, I hear lots of guys meet their girlfriends at Ice Skating rinks. So I may go anyways. I may even wear the top hat, my friends.
