As any parent can tell you, the idea of traveling anywhere with two young children is a nightmare in and of itself, thus, my spouse and I have come to the foregone conclusion that for at least the next 5 years or so we will not be traveling anywhere more exotic than the Target in the next suburb. We have fond memories of sunny beaches in Jamaica, and exciting glaciers in Alaska, but alas, nothing too exciting as of late.

To complicate our lives even further, the new travel rules, passport restrictions, higher fuel prices, etc., leave the prospect of travel even in 5 years a dream that may have to remain so. I would love to know how parents survive a trip to disneyland (sounds like torture to me), or a trip overseas with young kids. To me, that just doesn't sound like a very good time. However, I see them doing it, and with with a smirk tell me what a good time they had. Funny that in every picture I see from their travels they have a cocktail in their hand!

Nevertheless, I will continue to plan for my "someday" trip that will surpass all of my dreams. Now if only I can get that post baby bikini body back to prepare for it!
