Facebook, you light up my life.
My friends know I'm a little addicted to Facebook, which offers me a new way to communicate with friends old and new and gives me access to some great story ideas, too.
Today, a friend posted a video that makes me love Facebook even more. The clip is on You Tube, but without the social networking site, I would likely have missed it.
This video, from 1979, features Patti Smith on the kids' TV show, "Kids Are People Too," answering questions from tweens about why she decided to get into music and that sort of thing.
Then, Patti sings.
But she does not sing "Because the Night." No, Patti sings the then-smash hit, "You Light Up My Life," accompanied on piano by the song's writer Joe Brooks.
