WMSE's Brent Gohde and I are back again with the weekly Local Music Podcast. Hang out with us for the next 25 minutes as we break down your week in Milwaukee music.
We go back about four years with a track from The Response called "Until Then..." from "The Six EP." The band plays an all-ages show on Wednesday, April 25 at the Miramar Theater with Waking Ashland, Koala Taxi, Molitor and Liv Kid. Show time is 6 p.m.
West of Rome's Chris Demay hosts his CD release party this Friday, April 27 at The Loft, 228 S. 1st St., #302. Check out "Love and Mercy" from his new album "I Won't Be Me."
Polyvinyl's Collections of Colonies of Bees is always an interesting live show, so go see the guys play at the Cactus Club on Friday, April 27 with Minneapolis's Mystery Palace and Cedar AV. We play "Fun" (track two) from 2005's "Customer."
Next up is a live on WMSE track from Moonshine Sway, who plays two shows this week: Thursday, April 26 at Shank Hall with Richard Buckner and Saturday, April 28 at The Mad Planet with The Buskers and Sunspot.
IfIHadaHiFi wraps up this week's podcast with a live version "That's Almost Premeditated!" The palindromic band plays at the Cactus Club on Sturday, April 28 with The Dials and System + Station.
Enjoy.
