A few years ago, a national magazine ran a picture of Foo Fighters singer-guitarist Dave Grohl onstage wearing a Harley-Davidson T-shirt.
This summer, Grohl and friends play a show at which thousands of people will wear similar attire.
Foo Fighters have joined the roster of acts for Harley's 105th Anniversary Celebration Aug. 29 at the lakefront.
Foo Fighters play the Roadhouse at the lakefront in Veterans Park, the same venue that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band play the following day. Three Days Grace opensfor the Foo Fighters.
General admission tickets to the Foo Fighters show cost $27.50 and go on sale at 8 a.m. May 31 at ticketmaster.com.
Numerous other acts play at the Harley celebration, including Daughtry, The Black Crowes, ZZ Top, Dierks Bentley, Buddy Guy, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Peter Frampton, Cameo, Gary Allan, Blue Oyster Cult, Los Lonley Boys and the Crave.
