Event Description

Local writer and director, Jackie Benka, brings the tale of Jack "The Ripper" to The Alchemist Theatre! Jackie's production company, ROARING GEMINI PRODUCTIONS and ALCHEMIST THEATRE PRODUCTIONS have teamed up to immerse the audience in the wicked plotting of "the ripper." From the moment patrons enter The Alchemist Theatre & Lounge the audience is transported to the deadly streets of Victorian London. This original production explores not only the possible "who" of the Ripper tale, but also "why," bringing a humanity to the brutally murdered victims and giving a new life to the cloaked figure lurking in the darkness. The set, lighting, music and effects for RIPPER place the audience deep in the seedy heart of a White Chapel alleyway. A wonderfully talented cast has been assembled to explore the dark corridors of this new and intriguing version of JACK THE RIPPER.
