The recently created KNOW YOUR RIGHTS community law workshop is offering a monthly series of free legal clinics designed to inform UMOS clients and community members of their legal rights. Local attorneys share their knowledge and expertise of legal issues that affect people in the community.

The purpose of the program is to empower community members to take full advantage of their legal rights while making them fully aware of their legal responsibilities. The July 16th workshop will focus on traffic stops, OWIs, municipal court, and Driver’s License issues. Local attorneys will give short presentations on their area(s) of expertise, which will be followed with a question-and-answer session. Future workshops will focus on topics such as employment law, domestic violence, and other relevant legal issues.
