Description [edit]
The building itself may be as old as 1913, but what's going on inside is fresh and innovative. Aside from music and theater, the Miramar, a rental venue for the performance arts, hosts an eclectic variety of events ranging from theater workshops and children's theater performances to wrestling events and art shows.

Carmen Consoli

Sicilian-born singer and songwriter Carmen Consoli is an Italian superstar. She makes her Milwaukee debut on this, her seventh, U.S. tour. Her sixth and most recent disc, "Eva Contro Eva" (Eve Against Eve), was her first to be released in the States (on Universal Latino). She's guested on a disc by Natalie Merchant ("Tigerlily"), has been compared to Tori Amos and Alanis Morissette, is reportedly doing some dates with Ani Di Franco in September, and is a big fan of the classic blues singers. Don't miss this rare chance to see the great Carmen Consoli in an intimate solo performance. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
