Comedian Robin Williams brings his "Weapons of Self-Destruction" tour to town for a show at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Milwaukee Theatre.

"It's an election year, which is basically Christmas for stand-up comics," Williams said of his first tour since 2002. "And I figured I should get my ass on the road while the Shrub is still in office. A lot has happened in the world and in my life since I last did this six years ago and there's no better thrill and no better therapy than getting on that high-wire in front of a live audience."

Williams' 2002 tour ended a 16-year hiatus and was one of the highest-grossing comedy tours in history. The finale was taped for the HBO presentation "Robin Williams: Live on Broadway."

In addition to the upcoming tour, Williams will soon be seen in the Disney comedy "Old Dogs" and will reprise his role as Teddy Roosevelt in the sequel "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian."

Reserved tickets are priced at $80, $65 and $49.50 and will be available at 10 a.m. Aug. 16 at the Milwaukee Theatre box office, Ticketmaster outlets and Ticketmaster.com.
