Insult comic Lisa Lampanelli and country singer Carrie Rodriguez have been added to The Pabst Theater's early 2008 line-up, the theater announced today.
Rodridguez, a classically-trained violinist, who hired a country band and went pop, plays a $10 show on Friday, Feb. 15 with special guest Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles.
Meanwhile, the queen of mean Lampanelli -- described as a cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker and a vial of estrogen -- performs Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $31.50.
Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, Dec. 21 at noon.
On sale at the same time are tickets for an 8 p.m. show on Thursday, Feb. 28 featuring Drive-By Truckers and the Felice Brothers. The Truckers' new record, "Brighter Than Creation's Dark," is due out Jan. 22 on New West Records.
