October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, special features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food. Bon appetit!
Who says that college guys are afraid of the kitchen? Even the clumsiest frat boy can handle this easy recipe. My old college roommate from De Pere introduced me to this (which is why I call it "college guy dip") and it still makes its way onto the table at the occasional football party.
It may not be sophisticated, but it's amazing how quickly it gets devoured.
Ingredients:
One 8-oz. brick of cream cheese, softened
One jar cocktail sauce
One can tiny cooked shrimp
Ritz crackers
Lemon wedges (only if you feel fancy)
Directions:
Place the cream cheese in the center of a dinner plate.
Pour cocktail sauce on top.
Sprinkle shrimp over the whole thing.
Surround with Ritz crackers and lemon wedges.
Serve with lots of beer.
Enjoy.
