Pizza Man. The fact is, this North Avenue eatery wins pretty much every year. This year, it garnered nearly 16% of the votes. In 2006, Pizza Man and Zaffiro's went head to head in an OnMilwaukee.com Milwaukee Challenge and your favorite won unanimously.

The East Side landmark, a fixture for nearly four decades at 1800 E. North Ave., claims victory year after year against worthy competitors like Zaffiro's, Balistreri's, Lisa's, Calderone Club, DeMarini's and Palermo Villa.

The rustic ambiance of the place, along with characteristics like the trademark cracker-like thin crust and extensive wine list, make Pizza Man a perennial winner in this category.
