Omar Shaikh and Tom Wackman, owners of several Milwaukee Street bars and restaurants, are currently transforming Tangerine Nightclub into Charro, a Latin inspired restaurant.
Charro will feature Latin fusion dishes that evoke flavors from Cuba to South America.
Predicted to open in eight weeks, Charro will serve lunch, dinner and a late-night menu, along with a full drink menu in newly remodeled upscale surroundings. The restaurateurs are also tentatively planning a lounge-style, late-night scene featuring Latin DJs.
Earlier this summer, neighborhing Eve nightclub closed and after extensive remodeling, re-opened as Umami Moto, a Japanese fusion restaurant and Apartment 720, a second-floor nightclub.
