October is the third annual Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delicious features, chef profiles, unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2009."
We don't have scientific proof to support this assertion, but for a city of its size, Milwaukee has a disproportionately large number of excellent restaurants.
And with all of those eateries come some legendary dishes. We asked our staff to list our favorites, and we easily topped 100. Which means objectively speaking, we're not saying these are the best or only great Milwaukee dishes; they're just the first 100 that come to mind. Later in Dining Month, we'll share with you 100 more ...
So read our list -- which is in alphabetical order, not from best to worst -- and chime in with your own favorites using the Talkback feature below. Bon apetit!
