This job is costing me way too much.

Earlier this morning one of my co-workers sent me on a half-and-half run so that the coffee drinkers at an OnMilwaukee.com event at the Eisner Museum could lighten up their caffeinated beverages. That was $1.27. Then I had to plug the meter, too. Add in another buck and change (it was Downtown).

And it wasn't even 8 a.m. yet!

Just before lunch the mail carrier was here with a CD from a band hoping I'd write about its upcoming disc and release party. She told me, however, that she couldn't give me the envelope unless I gave her the 34 cents postage due. I gave her 50 cents and she said, "no change."

Don't worry guys -- I won't name you -- it made me laugh, so we're still on for the article.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to start filling out some expense forms.
