Bicycling around town is all fun and games until some cell-phone talking, jalopy-driving moron doesn't notice you pedaling away in an often-nonexistent bike lane.
To increase the chance of cyclist safety, and for a good excuse to rally bike-minded people at a cool corner tap, Shea Schachameyer of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin hosts an event called "Sew To Be Seen," Thursday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at River Horse.
"For $5 you'll be able to sew highly reflective material onto your clothing and bag to make yourself more visible this winter while enjoying beer and good company," reads Schachameyer's e-mail.
Sewing machines and notions will be supplied.
