The Rosebud Cinema Drafthouse, to be located at 2826 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., will add to the Bay View business boom in 2005. The theater -- scheduled to open in summer -- has signed a letter of intent to sublease space from Outpost Natural Foods, also opening next year. The building formerly housed a Kohl's food store.

This single-screen theater will show first-run and art house films, will be furnished with plush velvet furniture and will feature a full menu including microbrews, wines, pizzas, ice cream and more.

Millennium Entertainment's Jay Hollis says, "As with our Rosebud Wauwatosa location, the Rosebud Bay View will appeal to people looking for something different, something more than the mainstream has to offer -- this new Bay View location will meet all of their needs."
