Joe and Pam DeRosa of the DeRosa Corp. will open an Original Pancake House at 2625 N. Downer Ave. in 2006. The breakfast restaurant will occupy the long-vacant space next to Ristorante Bartolotta that, for many years, was home to The Coffee Trader.
The restaurant will be owned and operated by the DeRosa Company, who also owns the Chancery Restaurants in the Milwaukee area and Eddie Martini’s.
This will be the fourth Original Pancake House in Wisconsin; there are already locations in Brookfield, Madison and Monona. Apart from more than 15 varieties of pancakes, they also serve omelets, waffles, crepes, eggs, meats, fruits and cereals.
The restaurant's Web site is originalpancakehouse.com.
